Adding this position is a meaningful next step in implementing the 2020-2025 Strategic Plan Earth Ministry/WAIPL adopted last year. In that plan, we committed to transform into a fully multifaith organization actively integrating anti-racism principles of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. We pledged to encompass diverse religious identities in our outreach, board and staff, and partnerships, and reflect those changes in all of our work. Now, we are living into our stated values and invite you to support these efforts too.

Hiring a Multifaith Outreach Coordinator will enable us to build new relationships with key Jewish community organizations and synagogues to collaborate on environmental and climate justice issues rooted in Jewish values. This position will also support and strengthen connections with existing Earth Ministry/WAIPL Colleagues, Greening Congregations, faith communities, individual supporters, and other partners of all faiths. Working together, we’ll ensure that Earth Ministry/WAIPL’s resources, materials, and programming reflect inclusive language and content that are welcoming to all, while honoring distinctions across different faith traditions.
We are taking a leap of faith and moving forward with hiring this position without yet having all the necessary funds in hand. Choosing to live in abundance rather than scarcity, we know that this new role is vital to helping us meet our mission.
