Jessica honored as one of the NW Energy Coalition’s 4 Under 40

Earth Ministry Program & Outreach Director Jessica Zimmerle was recently honored as one of the NW Energy Coalition’s “4 under 40” award recipients. The award recognizes clean energy leaders under the age of 40 who model the passion and expertise we need to achieve a clean and affordable energy future.  

Jessica was honored for her impressive work engaging the faith community in campaigns to stop fossil fuel mega projects as well as passing strong climate and energy bills in the Washington State legislature. Please join us in congratulating her on this award! 

This is the third NW Energy Coalition award to be received by Earth Ministry staff. LeeAnne Beres was honored with the Headwaters Award in 2011 and Jessie Dye received the Doug Still Memorial Community Organizing Award in 2018. See all awards and recipients here.

Earth Ministry/WAIPL works within the unceded territories of Northwest Native nations. Our office is on the traditional land of the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People past and present. Land acknowledgement is one way to resist erasure of Indigenous histories as well as to honor tribes and the land itself.
