I am thrilled to announce that Earth Ministry / Washington Interfaith Power & Light (WAIPL) has a new look. We’re switching up our email templates and have a beautiful new logo!
Our board has approved a new 2020-2025 strategic plan that sets out an exciting and ambitious vision for the future of Earth Ministry/WAIPL. A significant component of our path forward involves formally transitioning from an organization based in the Christian tradition to one that is fully multifaith. We intentionally chose the phrase “multifaith” because we want to welcome authentic expression of multiple faith identities. We strive to both lift up our commonalities and hold space for our differences.
One part of becoming multifaith is rebranding Earth Ministry/Washington Interfaith Power & Light with a new, more inclusive logo, which we’re excited to start using today! You’ll notice that it includes our identity as Washington Interfaith Power & Light, which connects us to a powerful national coalition of nearly 40 similar faith-based environmental organizations around the country.
Even though we’ll look a bit different in your inbox, Earth Ministry/WAIPL will continue to engage, support, and mobilize the faith community to protect the health of our communities and the environment. We will connect with people of all faiths through outreach and education that inspires action, assist houses of worship in taking on efforts that protect both people and the planet, train and organize people of faith to engage in advocacy for environmental justice, and foster systemic change through adoption of strong environmental policies.
