Winter 2011-2012 Earth Letter

Winter2011-12

This winter season, in which we honor the beautiful story of Christ’s birth, we have focused our issue of Earth Letter on the power of storytelling and sharing. Also included are this year’s winnings sermons from our annual Celebration of St. Francis: Creation Care Sermon Contest – congratulations!

In addition to Earth Ministry’s recurring “Goings-On,” member profile, and featured articles, readers will find two new columns that will recur in future issues: Grounded in Faith is a theological or scriptural approach to the issue theme, and Faithful in Action is a pragmatic approach to putting our faith into action. Each piece will be original content from an Earth Ministry staff or board member. We hope you enjoy your Winter 2011-2012 issue of Earth Letter!

In this issue:

  • “I Believe in God and She is a Salmon” by Loretta Jancoski
  • The Power of Parables by Betsy Cannon
  • A Story to Tell by Jessie Dye
  • 2012 Environmental Priorities
  • Margins and Hope by Gil Waldkoenig
  • Abundance by Rev. Stephanie McDyre Johnson
