Check Your Status
Voting is a vital part of putting our faith and conscience into action for the health and well-being of communities and the environment. Unfortunately voter rolls often get purged during election cycles so it’s important to makes sure you, your family, and friends are registered in time.
Did you know:
- Postage is not required when dropping off your ballot in a mailbox.
- On January 1st, 2022, if you were convicted of a felony in Washington State, another state, or in federal court, your right to vote will be restored automatically as long as you are not currently serving a DOC sentence of total confinement in prison.
- You have until Election Day, Nov 5th, to register to vote
- You can register to vote directly on the Secretary of State’s website
Voting is a way to put our spiritual and faith practices into action; as we work to change the systems that cause harm to our community, including including Black, Indigenous, and communities of the Global Majority, the nonhuman world, and all those that are impacted the hardest by climate pollution and systemic racism. Voting is a faith-rooted and conscience-led choice to care for our neighbor and is an expression of our calls to create a better world for future generations and all of creation.
Voting is an act of conscience, care, faith, and love.
What’s On the
November Ballot?
Simply put: Washington State’s commitment to protecting our communities and the environment is at risk on the 2024 November general election ballot.
In addition to elected officials, Washington has 2 specific ballot measures (2117 and 2066) that would eliminate billions of dollars of funding dedicated to improving the health of our communities AND make it harder to transition towards clean, renewable, and affordable energy sources.
Put Your Faith, Spirituality, and Conscience Into Action
Grassroots movements for environmental justice are built and sustained when people not only educate themselves but then take action to co-create a world that is just and sustainable for all.
This is why Earth Ministry/WA IPL launched “Cast Your Vote, Washington!” We know putting faith into action means ACTIVELY CHOOSING how we will work, live, play, pray, and be in relationship with the land. This extends to our civic engagement participation.
Earth Ministry/WA IPL, alongside growing coalitions saying “No On 2117” and “No On 2066,” invites you join us and pledge to “Cast Your Vote” to protect our communities and the environment this November.

As people of faith and conscience, we cherish the beauty of Washington State and are committed to caring for the diversity of people and creatures who live here. Together, we can protect our communities and the environment by voting.
AND we can encouraging our family, friends, to vote as well as encouraging our faith/spiritual communities to prioritize talking about how voting is an expression of our morals and values.
