These faith leaders, representing Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Sikh traditions, have since released a short <a href=\"http:\/\/earthministry.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Interfaith-Statement-on-WA-Clean-Air-Rule.pdf\">statement<\/a>\u00a0in support for government action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2877\" src=\"http:\/\/earthministry.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Interfaith-Gov-group-inside-crop-295x300.jpg\" alt=\"Interfaith leaders with Gov. This Clean Air Rule will gradually reduce the amount of carbon pollution produced in Washington over time by targeting the state\u2019s 30 largest carbon emitters.<\/p>\n<p>As faith leaders, we support the Clean Air Rule and are committed to ensuring that Washington has an effective, equitable climate policy that reduces carbon pollution; protects low-income communities and communities of color most impacted by pollution and climate change; and invests in clean, renewable energy and good jobs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Earth Ministry\/WAIPL Executive Director LeeAnne Beres and ten other religious leaders recently met with Governor Jay Inslee to discuss how we can combat climate change in Washington.
