Step It Up March and Rally
On April 14, 2007, the faith community marched on the streets of Seattle to call on Congress to cut carbon emissions 80% by 2050. Over 32 Christian and 10 Jewish communities made up nearly half of the crowd of over 3,000 showing that climate change is a moral issue.
Interfaith Creation Festival
The Interfaith Creation Festival brought Jews, Muslims, and Christians together, May 31-June 3, 2007, on behalf of our common and endangered Earth.
Sustainable Choices for Creation Care
Earth Ministry and the Olympia Presbytery Peace and Justice Action Group hosted a workshop about the theological call for environmental sustainability as a justice issue.
Washington Climate Change Challenge
Washington Governor Christine Gregoire signed an Executive Order declaring the state’s commitment to address climate change. Earth Ministry’s Executive Director, LeeAnne Beres, was present at the signing ceremony, representing the faith community’s support for this bold action.
