Staff Support

Congregational and Colleague Gatherings: Twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring, Earth Ministry hosts congregational and colleague gatherings. These gatherings allow Greening Congregations and other faith communities and individuals to share ideas, hopes, and challenges with one another to strengthen the network of activists.

Annual In-Person Staff Consultation: The in-person staff consultation is available to member congregations as a Greening Congregations resource. For current partners, this consultation serves as a review for feedback on annual plan progress, a brainstorming session for events or greening activities, or assistance in organizing or motivating green teams.

Annual Adult Education Classes: Adult education speakers are available to our member congregations starting at the $250 level. For prospective and first-year Greening Congregations, the Outreach Coordinator will give a Faith & Environment 101 session; for second-year Greening Congregations, our Program Director will offer Advocacy for All Creation; third-year and beyond are welcome to solicit adult educations based in themes offered on a rotating basis by Earth Ministry.

Phone and Email Support: The Earth Ministry staff is readily available to assist our Greening Congregations in any way we are able. The staff contact for this program is Josh Gross, Outreach Coordinator. He is available at or (206) 632-2426.

Additionally, Earth Ministry sends periodic electronic updates to Greening Congregation green team members to inform you of upcoming events, current technology, grant opportunities, and more.
