Issues

The first step towards making right actions on behalf of creation is to become educated about the issues themselves.  Earth Ministry has provided faith-based perspectives on some of the most important environmental issues of our time.  It is not our mission to educate people on the science of the particular issues, but rather on the moral, theological, and spiritual basis for action to reverse the effects of over-consumption and misuse of precious resources.

	Climate & Energy Our energy choices directly affect the health of the air and climate.  Whether we turn on a light switch or drive our car to work, we are impacting the world around us.
	Transportation The choices we make everyday about how to get from one place to another affects more than just our own lives.  Pollution and resource consumption negatively impact humans, creatures, and the environment.
	Food & Farming Food is a necessity to human functioning, but the way we farm and the food that we eat should be both honoring to our bodies, to other humans, and to all of God's creation.
	Water All creatures are dependent upon clean water and air for survival.  Yet, so often, water resources are neither clean nor readily available due to human mismanagement.  We must learn to be better stewards.
	Environmental Health It is easy to forget that environmental contamination is an issue not only for fish, fowl, and four-legged creatures, but for humans too.  Many illnesses are linked to pollutants in our air, water, food, and household items.
	Simplicity Excessive resource consumption has a direct impact on the health of the environment and stands in opposition to Biblical  teachings.  Choosing to live in simplicity frees us from possessions so that we may live the abundant life.
