Wendell Berry has written, “Be joyful, though you have considered all the facts.” How is joy possible when our planet Earth is undergoing a massive extinction of species and looming climate catastrophe?
Dr. Robert A. Jonas and Imam Jamal Rahman will explore the ancient spiritual riches of the Sufi, Christian and Buddhist traditions, watering the seeds of new dialogues and new pathways of hope and action for Earth care. Through personal renewal and transformation, our lives can blossom into effective action in our families, communities, and nation.
Join us as we un-earth the ancient wisdom of the Sufi, Christian, and Buddhist traditions for Earth’s sake. Our day together will include silence, presentations, music, and whole group conversation. This event is free and open to the public. Free-will donations will be accepted.
Earth Ministry/WAIPL is happy to be co-sponsoring this event.
