Blessing the Waters of Life Conference

Earth Ministry is honored to be receiving Presbyterian for Earth Care’s Restoring Creation Award at this conference that aligns with our work for clean water and Indigenous rights.

All are welcome to attend  “Blessing the Waters of Life: Justice and Healing for Our Watersheds” at Menucha Retreat and Conference Center in the Columbia River Gorge. The conference focuses on water at the nexus of climate change and indigenous peoples, and will offer plenaries, panels with indigenous leaders, inspiring worship, workshops, and outdoor experiences.

The keynote speaker will be eco-theologian and New Testament scholar The Rev. Dr. Barbara Rossing of Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. Baptism and ecology will be illuminated by worship leader, Dr. Paul Galbreath of Union Presbyterian Seminary and author of a series connecting worship and daily life. The conference is sponsored by Presbyterians for Earth Care (PEC). On Thursday, September 28, Earth Ministry will receive PEC’s Restoring Creation Award, so please join Executive Director LeeAnne Beres at the conference that evening.

Registration is open NOW at One and two-day registration options are available. In addition, all are welcome to join a September 26 Rally for Healthy Climate and Health Waters at 3pm at Cascade Locks – speakers include Yakama Tribal Chair JoDee Goudy.
